The “Ophthalmo-Check” Advanced Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Research Eye Center was established in 1992 by ophthalmic surgeon Professor Pandelis A. Papadopoulos.

He is the first Greek and one of the first 15 European Ophthalmologists to receive the title FEBOS-CR from the European Society of Cataract Surgery and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS) and the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO).
This title is given exclusively to ophthalmic surgeons who are highly specialized and demonstrate excellence of knowledge in cataract and refractive surgery. A breadth of surgical experience and passing the FEBOS-CR examination are minimum requirements for the acquisition of this title.
